Tasting Notes
Jean Javillier has 7.5 hectares in the famous village of Meursault in the Côte de Beaune. He converted to organic farming in 1972, something unheard of locally in those days. Today his sons Alain and Thierry run the Domaine. It took the family almost 15 years to effectively grasp how to farm and make wine organically, but now they are many years into their stride. The wines are unfiltered and unfined so that none of the flavour is stripped out, often leaving a harmless deposit in the bottles.
