Mauzac-Sauvignon, Côtes de Tarn, Domaine Vigne Lourac

Crisp, herbaceous dry white from south west France, this is a delicious versatile wine; rather like mini-Sancerre. Great with salads and chicken
Producer introduction
Alain Gayrel manages to combine traditional techniques with some of the most bang up to date thinking in his South Western winery. His vines are well established having been in the ground for some thirty years, and this is reflected in the authentic style of all his wines. He is one of the most dedicated wine makers you are likely to find and has won the respect of all those around him with his passion, during the actual wine making he is often to be found sleeping by his vats ! Perhaps due it's slightly humble location his winery manages to produce wines of real class at a good price.

Tasting Notes
Representing remarkable value for money this delicously citrusy sauvignon is a real testament to the dedication of wine maker Monsieur Gayrel. Hidden away in what some consider to be the back waters of South West France he is regularly producing wine that gives some of the far grander appellations a real run for their money. This unusual blend of grapes really is a winner !
