Half way between Valdepenas and Valencia is the city of Socuéllamos, just oustside of Socuéllamos are the vineyards of E.H.D This organic winery and vineyard was founded in 1998 by the Delgado Brothers and the grapes are Sohiscert and Ecocert certified. The vineyards stretch over 200 ha, 100 ha of white (Airen, Moscatel and Sauvignon) and 100 ha of red (Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Tempranillo and Merlot).  The superbly equipped winery is conveniently located in the middle of the vineyards saving valuable time between picking and pressing and so reducing the reliance on sulphur so common round here

Tasting Notes
 This impressively well equipped Winery was founded in 1998 by the Delgado brothers. They take a thoroughly modern angle to the art of making wine and this coupled with organic methods and a minimum use of sulphur have resulted in some remarkable wine. Their very natural approach means they don't try squeezing every last grape out of each vine. Something that is done all too often with this variety, which in turn leads to an Airen that is packed with flavour and well balanced.
