Ribera del Duero Crianza, Páramo Arroyo

The tannins are like mouth-coating dark chocolate, the fruit is soft and dark and the wines are just beautifully enjoyable to drink. This the Crianza has a nice bit of oak on it, with just adds to the already brilliant flavour of the wine.

Producer introduction
After maintaining a tradition and connection with wine for many years, in the year 2000 Páramo Arroyo began to produce their own wine in the new winery – a family business that owns 35 hectares of vineyards right in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, within the municipal boundaries of Pedrosa de Duero and Roa, in the province of Burgos.

Tasting Notes
I usually think of wines from Ribeiro del Duero as being either just too macho for my palate or anannoying mixture of macho dumbed down by oak. Tooth enamel stripping tannins being all part of the package but the humorous and twinkly eyed Lina Páramo may be the reason why these wines are so good, tempering with a feminine hand.
