Châteauneuf du Pape, Domaine Pierre André

The grapes of this Chateauneuf-du-Pape are grown on 'vieilles vignes' (old vines) with an average age of over 60 years. This is a rich, chocolaty and engaging, with characteristically luscious texture and spicy complexity.

Producer introduction
Jaqueline André runs this immaculate biodynamic estate around the village of Courthezon. The vines are an average of 70 years old and are in rude health, producing grapes that give the wine glorious depth of character and rich, sumptuous flavours. There is mercifully no new oak here, just concrete tanks and some old “foudres” (oversized barrels), so the wine is as natural as can be.
