Jean Javillier has 7.5 hectares in the famous village of Meursault in the Côte de Beaune.  He converted to organic farming in 1972, something unheard of locally in those days.  Today his sons Alain and Thierry run the Domaine. It took the family almost 15 years to effectively grasp how to farm and make wine organically, but now they are many years into their stride.

Tasting Notes
Elegant and silky smooth. This has all he classic burgundian tendencies with clean Pinot fruit with lesser hints of more earthy, animalistic flavours. A joy to savour on its own or to accompany ripe reblochon or comte de brie. Definitely lamb or simply grilled seasonal veg.
