Stefano Bellotti’s biodynamic estate is highly revered in Italy and he’s something of a beacon amongst the press and with other growers. He is however a very laid back character who wears the same clothes whether in the vineyard or at a tasting abroad.

The wines are quite unique, being across the board concentrated and individual with extraordinary depth. The reds are mostly Barbera and Dolcetto and the sheer intensity of these wines is at first a shock, but after a few moments in a decanter their potential starts to unwind and all the flavours and nuances come out.
