Half way between Valdepenas and Valencia is the city of Socuéllamos, just oustside of Socuéllamos are the vineyards of E.H.D This organic winery and vineyard was founded in 1998 by the Delgado Brothers and the grapes are Sohiscert and Ecocert certified. The vineyards stretch over 200 ha, 100 ha of white (Airen, Moscatel and Sauvignon) and 100 ha of red (Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Tempranillo and Merlot).  The superbly equipped winery is conveniently located in the middle of the vineyards saving valuable time between picking and pressing and so reducing the reliance on sulphur so common round here

Tasting Notes
Airén is the most planted grape variety and Spain and does particularly well in La Mancha because it can stand up to drought. At EHD they vines are planted at a low density, the subsequently fuller flavoured grapes are cool fermented to make a crisp and quaffable dry white, ideal for everyday consumption.
